After researching some different programs available in our area, I found one that looks like it will meet our needs. The program accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. It does cost you some up front money as it is our responsibility to purchase the terminal through which the credit card processing takes place. The return on our investment should be short term with an estimated increase in business now that our salon accepts credit cards.

If the terminal accepts the credit card, payment is guaranteed. I just hope a card is never rejected, because if it is we are supposed to confiscate the credit card. I am sure this would make for some very disgruntled customers. In this regard, I feel the credit card companies are expecting us to babysit unscrupulous card holders, but what can you do? It is all part of the terms.
